Michael Hannath BSc (Hons) MRICS FNAEA (Managing Director)
Michael is a Chartered Surveyor with 8 years experience in Residential and Commercial Property Services. He graduated from the University of Ulster with an honours degree in Estate Management in 2000 and went on to work for a leading Commercial Property Consultancy in Belfast before opening his own business in September 2004. Michael is involved with all aspects of the business generally but focuses specifically on commercial agency and investment / development transactions.
Gary Little Bsc (Hons) MRICS (Associate Director)
Gary Little is a Chartered Surveyor with 8 years experience in Residential & Commercial Property Services. Gary joined Michael in December 2006 and now heads up the Professional Services team within the company. He is responsible for carrying out & overseeing all commercial and residential valuation work which passes through the office. Further work includes representing landlords and tenants in rent review and lease renewal negotiations. Experience ranges from valuations to landlord and tenant cases, statutory compensation, and rating through to property investment and development advice.
Gareth McQuitty (Associate Director)
Gareth has been with Michael Hannath since the business was created in September 2004 and was made an Associate director in 2007. He heads up the Residential Agency team and is involved with all aspects of residential property transactions including market appraisals, sales, lettings and management.
Julie Anne Bell LL.B (Hons) MRICS
Julie-Anne graduated from Queens University, Belfast with an honours degree in Law in 2004 and went on to gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying with The College of Estate Management in Reading. Julie-Anne gained her professional accreditation as a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2007, and having spent nearly three years working for one of Irelands leading property consultancies she has now returned to Portadown to join our Professional Services Team where her role primarily involves carrying out commercial valuations and representing landlords and tenants in their rent review and lease renewal negotiations. Julie Anne is also involved with some commercial agency transactions and represents some national clients in acquisitions and disposals.
Chris Murtagh LL.B (Hons)
Chris graduated from Dundee University with a first class honours degree in Law with Spanish and is currently completing his final year of a Graduate Diploma in Surveying with the College of Estate Management whilst working towards professional accreditation as a Charterred Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Chris has been with the company since August 2006 and works closely with Gary and Julie Anne within the professional services team and is also involved with sales, lettings and management of residential and commercial properties.
Ivan Hewitt
Ivan is currently completing his final year of a four year Property Investment and Development degree at University of Ulster. He joined Michael to complete his placement year in 2006/2007 and has remained as a permanent part of the team balancing work and study. Ivan works closely with Michael within the commercial agency and management sectors
Alastair Glass
Alastair worked as a civil servant for five years serving time within both the Water and Planning Services and changed career path to join Michael in August 2007. He works closely with Gareth as part of the residential team as a sales negotiator. Alastair is currently studying towards qualification within the National Association of Estate Agents.
Joan Kyle
Joan works as sales receptionist within the company having joined in September 2007 following a change of career to follow her interest in property after having spent a number of years as a project manager within the social services sector. Joan's personable character and professional attitude towards clients have made her a very important member of our front of house team.
Moya O'Gorman
Moya joined Michael in October 2006 having spent a number of years working in a large estate agency practice in London. She works as a sales administrator within the residential team.
Sonia McIntyre
Sonia is completing her placement year from University of Ulster where she is studying towards a Property Investment and Development degree. She is assisting within all departments in order to gain a varied experience which should prove valuable in her final year of study
